The Abbey Left Wall of Porch
From left: A wealthy man sits at a table covered with a cloth. A woman sits on his left, eating. To the man's right a servant enters through a door bringing more food. A wine jug sits on a table. Outside the door a man, covered with sores, lies with his head on a stone. Dogs lick the sores on his legs which are carved into the stone. Above him an angel carries something, now missing but perhaps his soul. The little soul rests in the bosom of Abraham. A prophet holds up a scroll and points to writing now missing. © 2001 Susan R.
