The Abbey

On the right a man lies in bed, a woman in grief by his side. A demon stands at the foot of the bed holding a moneybag. Demons and angels contend for the little soul that emerges from the man's mouth. The demons win.
On the left, damaged and in the shadows, a man weighted by a moneybag is tormented by demons.
This is assumed to be the death of the Rich Man whose story is told in the frieze above.
